PULASKI, October 31, 2024 — MOVA Technologies has been awarded a $650,000 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II grant from the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). The funding will accelerate the development and commercialization of MOVA’s breakthrough poultry ammonia capture technology.
This project builds on MOVA’s Phase I success and supports continued testing, system refinement, and pilot deployments in commercial broiler facilities. Designed to improve barn air quality and operational efficiency, the system selectively removes airborne ammonia—a critical step toward healthier flocks, more productive grow environments, and economically sustainable poultry operations.
"We’re excited to continue working with USDA to bring our poultry air filtration technology closer to market," said John Schott, CEO of MOVA Technologies. "This grant enables us to scale testing and demonstrate the real-world value of ammonia capture in poultry production."
